Bedtime habits

A child needs time for sleep in order to restore strength and give rest to the growing body. In spite of the fact that the children are very active and even more energetic in comparison with the adults, they have to relax to stay healthy. First of all, a comfortable bed place is important to arrange; it is to include nightlight, good ventilation, warm bed, good pillow and blanket. Make sure that there are not any video games, books, TV set in order to prevent your child to sleep. When you go out, switch off the light. Before going to bed (at least in 30 minutes) you have to teach your child to the everyday hygiene routine – teeth brushing, hands washing, taking shower. If you arrange the regular time for going to bed, a child is able to manage his/her schedule by his/her own. For example, you teach your child to go to bed at nine PM. A child knows that at least at eight thirty he/she is to start preparations even without your reminding. This habit is created for the quite long time, but at least later a child will able to keep his schedule independently.
Before going to bed they recommend to read a fairy-tale or speak to a child about his/her day. It is one of the ordinary affairs which are to prepare a child mind to sleeping. Make sure that you say a final goodnight.
