Pre-schooling
School is expected by a child as a wonderful event in a life. Sometimes elder kids tell about schooling which gives a child wrong idea about evil teacher, long lessons, homework and so on. It could make a child feel sad about going to school for the first time. Try to learn what your kid feels about school and new manner of life, what his/her worries and expectations are like. Be sure that you are able to show your child the school before the first lessons start and get acquainted with a teacher. It is to create some link between a child and the place where he/she is to spend more than ten years of a life. Show your child the school corridors and the rooms if it is possible and explain that the school time is divided into two parts – the lessons and the breaks. Make him/her some notes what it is worthy doing during every period and answer the questions. Give your child an idea that it must be interesting to learn many new things and meet new people.
In addition, it is high time to make the teacher's work easier and present your child the first notions about self-organization, discipline, staying focused and motivated. You can start the lessons right at home using the game. Let your child to be a teacher or a pupil, learn something together.
If you arrange a new room for your child's studying, it is a good idea as well. A child who is about to go to school is to have a comfortable place for studying: a good level table, an appropriate chair, light, shelves for the books and computer, that does not prevent a child to write or read.
Explain your child that his/her task is to keep the place in order since this moment.
